betwixt summer and autumn - a photo-journal of sorts

A little bit of a photo-journal of sorts,
depicting the sunny days and cool evenings
of the time between the end of summer
and the beginning of autumn.

The last days of summer now, as autumn is nearly here.
I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house."
― Nathaniel HawthorneThe American Notebooks [Notebook, Oct. 10, 1842]

Fresh blueberries and raspberries on the bush,
orange and yellow flowers in full bloom,
early evening light dancing on the most mundane objects
and turning them into something magical,
the sweet sound of a summer breeze rustling the trees;
all wonderful aspects of those few weeks
that commemorate the end of summer
and the beginning of autumn.

What are some imagery, feelings, or aspects that explain the in-between times of summer and fall to you?
