Blooming /// An interview

///Interview with Chloe from Blooming for Christ

Tell us a little bit about you and your family:

Hi there, I'm Chloe! In short, I am a almost-17-year-old junior, homeschooled, and a child of God! You could probably call me the guinea pig of the family because I'm the oldest of five kids (I have two brothers and two sisters). Although I love being the oldest, leading by example is difficult at times! My mom and dad are wonderful, Godly examples for all of us kids.
I'm the kind of girl who loves to laugh all the time! I enjoy teaching and working with children. God has given me a special opportunity to share with children about God's love and perfect creation because He created me with one hand. Even though I only have one hand, I still play the piano, knit, swim, and do just about everything else! You can read more of my testimony on the "About" page of my blog.

What is the main goal of your blog, Blooming in Christ?
I created my blog with the purposed of encouraging others in the Lord. I love to share about what God is teaching me in His Word and record my "adventures" with the Lord. Every now and then, I'll post pictures and do a "fun" post. =)

How does your personal relationship with the Lord impact your life?
Knowing Christ gives life meaning. Because I know my has life has a purpose, I try to view each day through God's perspective. I ask myself, How can I make this day count for eternity? What can I change in my life so that Christ will be magnified in it? My relationship with Christ gives me reason to have hope, joy, and peace - even in situations that don't seem to be the best.
I know that Galatians 2:20 is a very well known verse, but it describes my desire for my day-to-day life: "I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

What are some of your hobbies?
Oh, where to begin? I love just about everything I try! On the top of the list would have to be playing the piano - I've played for about 10 years! I also enjoy writing my own songs and singing. =) I play tennis on a homeschool tennis team, which is a blast! Besides that, I love to knit, write, make jewelry, draw.... Shall I go on? =)

What is one thing you would tell every Christian teen?
Constantly be examining what your treasure is. What do you value most, spend the most time doing or thinking about? Seriously consider the answer to this question, for "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21). Is your treasure of this world? If so, then so is your heart. Make Christ your treasure above all else - your treasure - for knowing Him is of surpassing worth (Philippians 3:8). He is a treasure that will never fade away.

I just want to thank Chloe so much for being willing to write for my blog. Her life is an inspiring testimony. As I have come to know her better and better over the past two years or so, I have come to see just how much Jesus shines from her life. What a beautiful daughter of God. I encourage you to check out her blog. She has some great stuff on there like the Hunger Games books review, and some little oddities.
